I have a three year old Asus ZenBook showing a very brownish yellow color. This has irritated me since the day I got it, but not enough that I could be bothered to do anything about it… Now that the machine is maybe due for replacement anyway and I do not care if I break it anymore, why not give it a shot?
The process involves flashing the firmware of your machine, so it might be risky. As the OP stated:
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DEAD MACHINES AND MESSED UP SCREENS! YOU DO EVERYTHING ON YOUR OWN RISK
For download of the flashing software and the color profile, see here.
I did virus check the files before running, but no guarantees there either. And the process did work, for me. There was a bit of a hick-up when the flashing process was over and the software tried to restart the desktop, it even claimed it “failed” and my desktop went black. I restarted the machine and put my desktop background picture back and everything seems fine now, and I have a decent yellow. Huzzah!
