When it comes to sightseeing Rome has possibly more than just about any other city in the world, just go crazy… It is nice for walking, especially since many of the most interesting sites are quite centrally placed, well except for the horrible traffic.

Selected walks: Several city walks are usually mentioned in the regular tourist guides. Frommer has a complete book of walks (see above), Frommer’s 24 Great Walks in Rome, but I have not used it myself.
