This is another at first maybe surprising drink with Sushi. When you think about it, it should not be so strange. After all Ginger is served with your Sushi… The above example, a highly potent Ginger Ale at 8% ABV, might not be your first choice, but it does work well with food.
Old Asus ZenBook UX303LN Yellow Color Fix
I have a three year old Asus ZenBook showing a very brownish yellow color. This has irritated me since the day I got it, but not enough that I could be bothered to do anything about it… Now that the machine is maybe due for replacement anyway and I do not care if I break it anymore, why not give it a shot?
The process involves flashing the firmware of your machine, so it might be risky. As the OP stated:
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DEAD MACHINES AND MESSED UP SCREENS! YOU DO EVERYTHING ON YOUR OWN RISK
For download of the flashing software and the color profile, see here.
I did virus check the files before running, but no guarantees there either. And the process did work, for me. There was a bit of a hick-up when the flashing process was over and the software tried to restart the desktop, it even claimed it “failed” and my desktop went black. I restarted the machine and put my desktop background picture back and everything seems fine now, and I have a decent yellow. Huzzah!
Gose with Sushi
Usually I drink Sake with my Sushi, but someone recommended Gose. Gose is a very sour style of beer, and I quite enjoyed it. The above bottle is a Norwegian one that I could get at my local outlet. I liked it, maybe you will too.
Nineteen
My Ingress portal number 19 is up, more than two years after my last accepted submission to the portal network, and more that a year and a half since it was originally submitted.
Azure Window No More
This is very sad. It is reported from Malta that the beautiful Azure Window on the island of Gozo collapsed completely Wednesday morning during a storm. Above is how it looked in 2004 when I visited.

MO:ULa Revisited
I recently installed MO:ULa on a brand new computer that had only seen Windows 10, and ran into a few new problems that I had not seen previously. It is all covered in their forum though, but these are the new things that had to be taken care of:
- Install DirectX 9, see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/179113.
- Unzip http://account.mystonline.com/download/MOULaSupportFiles.zip and put these dlls into the same folder as UruLauncher.exe.
- Also note that at least if you use the web installer UruLauncher has to run as Administrator the first time around, to be able to install the rest of the game.
Greek Rosé Wine
I must admit that Rosé Wine is usually not my first choice. It is the only wine I have so little respect for that I sometimes pack it with a picnic when I am out walking. After residing on my backback potentially for several hours its temperature will be far from optimal…
Greece and Rosé Wine also has not previously worked out for me. We sort of started out on the wrong foot on my very first island vacation. I remember I tried a Boutari Rosé that I saw others happily drinking. That was a mistake, it tasted like cat pee.
This, on the other hand, is a different beast. The best Rosé I have ever tasted. Probably the most expensive too, but…
