My third accepted portal in Ingress. This the door to the Christopher Columbus museum in Las Palmas.
“Instant” Walking Guide
I don’t think this happens very often, at least it has never happened to me before. It cannot be often you walk out of a café/restaurant with a quickly scribbled walking guide in hand, to make sure you find your ongoing route. Here it is:
Oh yes, and this was at the very nice café/restaurant ¡Déjate llevar! in Tejeda, Gran Canaria. As it turned out, Fernando, one of the owners, was a keen walker as well.
The Devil’s Walker

A dessert wine from Norway? Really???
Ok, a fruit wine of course. As in apples. The apple maniacs at Egge Gård in Drammen has made this, and I really look forward to tasting it. They do make some really excellent apple products in my experience, not all are quite to my taste though. But this one should be good.
Second Portal
Things seem to be moving fast now, second Portal is up. This strange obelisk on the island of Herm. What a place!
First Ingress Portal
Today I got my first portal accepted by Ingress Operations. And what a nice portal it is. A very nice and rewarding stroll on the east coast of Jersey, then this portal is yours. Please treat it nicely! 🙂
It’s Time To Move
Last time I mentioned Ingress I had not even started playing yet. Now I have found that adding some augmented reality to my walks works quite well. I do much more city walks now than I ever did before.
What team to join? That is all up to you. As long as you join the blue team… 😉

Walking on Arran
What immediately stands out when you look at Paddy Dillon’s other books and other offerings from Cicerone are some Scottish islands that are known not only for walking, but also for other things starting with a W. This is something that is/was bound to end up on my schedule sooner or later, and I think this is the time to put it there. So there it is.
Cicerone’s Walking on Guernsey
This summer I will revisit Guernsey, Sark and Herm and will as already seen below visit Alderney for the first time. As I was far from happy with Geoff Daniel’s Guernsey walking guide published by Sunflower last year I will be using a different book this time, Cicerone’s Walking on Guernsey, written by Paddy Dillon. Dillon is a very well respected author and guide, and some claim he is even the best. I have never used any of his books myself, but if this turns out well I suspect there might be many more trips to The British Isles and other areas using his books.
