The first actual computer that I ever programmed? In my case that would be something that in my day was called a mini-computer. Mini in the sense that it was no larger than the average refrigerator (at least when you included the rack it was sitting in). And here it is, the Alpha/LSI-2 from Computer Automation.

As a recently retired software developer is has been fun to look back at where it all started. In my youth I swore by Texas Instruments calculators, although to tell you the truth they were not very durable. This is the first one I had that could be programmed.

Again a new ferry for me, this is the very nice C/F Dionisos Solomos. A very pleasant ride indeed…

Yet another “new” ferry for me was (in May) the C/F Ionis.

For the first time in several years I used a Greek ferry last fall that I had not previously encountered. The Marmari Express was quite nice, some details noted on my legacy ferry site. Another picture (from this May) can be seen above.
